Breglio announced today that the 2009 national tour of Tony Award-winning, smash musical Dreamgirls will hold open auditions at the Apollo Theater (253 West 125 Street) on Saturday, November 1, 2008 with audition sign-in from 9:30am till 11am. This open audition is for casting the starring roles of The Dreams - Deena Jones, Lorrell Robinson and Effie White, and the casting directors are looking for women in their 20’s.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dreamgirls is directed and choreographed by Bobby Longbottom with c0-choreography by Shane Sparks, music direction by Zane Mark, and is produced by John Breglio for Vienna Waits Productions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dreamgirls is the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, and their rocky road to superstardom.   The original Broadway production of Dreamgirls opened December 20, 1981 at the Imperial Theatre and won six 1982 Tony Awards.  Dreamgirls closed on Broadway August 11, 1985, after 1,522 performances.  Dreamgirls features music by Henry Krieger and lyrics and book by Tom Eyen. The original Broadway production was directed by Michael Bennett and choreographed by Bennett and Michael Peters.  Dreamgirls was adapted into a motion picture by DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures, and opened in December 2006.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since introducing the first Amateur Night contests in 1934, the Apollo Theater has played a major role in the emergence of innovative musical genres including jazz, swing, bebop, R&amp;amp;B, gospel, blues, soul and hip-hop.  Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis, Jr., James Brown, Bill Cosby, Gladys Knight, Luther Vandross, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and countless others began their road to stardom on the Apollo’s stage. &lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:85%;"&gt;The College Relations Manager will take an active role in developing and implementing processes to best promote, enhance, manage and sustain the Tom Joyner Foundation. Go from unemployed and never traveling to employed and spending most of your time on a cruise ship. Often times, some sites may get their postings from other locations and there may be a 1-2 week lapse time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For example, monster.com may post some Warner Bros.  entertainment jobs, but the posting may not hit monster until well after they've been posted on WB-related boards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a general rule, always seek to go to the SOURCE first.  If you wish to work for Sony Pictures, always seek out Sony Pictures and their website FIRST.  It should go without saying that many of these jobs are filled almost instantaneously, so time is truly of the essence.  Seek to be first, and to be best.  Your attention to detail in searching for right job only helps you land the right job. It's not unusual for people (myself included) to have 3 and 4 different resumes, especially if your level of expertise and array of experience transcend a single field or type of employment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may have had retail jobs as well as government jobs in your past, but not all needs to be on your single page resume.  More times than not, employers are looking for "applicable" experience.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Save the 'extras' for line items in your hobbies, associations or affiliations.  Employers can 'ask' more if they want to know more.  The goal is to streamline the information and present it in an efficient, effective and informative manner.  Success means &lt;span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"&gt;getting the interview&lt;/span&gt;.  The interview is the goal of the resume.  A resume can only get you an interview and nothing more.  Keep this specific goal in mind.  It will never get you a job.  So use the resume to help your cause and do nothing to harm it.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"&gt;In the interview&lt;/span&gt; you can fill in the nooks and crannies with your 'information' about how you used to stack bowling pins before you began your entertainment career.
